Broadside Training commence ‘Operation Transmission’

Nuco qualified First Aid instructor, Dave Oliver based in Portsmouth, has commenced the first of a number of cohorts of staff being trained in all aspects of traffic management preparing for Operation Transmission, the government backed planning, training, and implementation for a smooth transition for vehicles arriving and departing the UK from Portsmouth International Port bound for the EU, following the end of the transition period of Brexit commencing from 23:00hrs on 31 December 2020.

This is a massive undertaking for all new staff who have been recruited following a huge recruit drive, many have joined following redundancies in their previous roles following the Covid pandemic, the shift managers, team leaders, and supervisors working Operation Transmission have been trained using Nuco as the Awarding Centre for their Emergency First Aid at Work to ensure they comply with traffic management regulations at the International Port and Vehicle Holding Areas designed for Brexit freight traffic.
