This online CPD course covers both assessing and internal quality assurance (IQA) and has been designed to meet the First Aid Awarding Organisation Forum’s Assessment Principles for First Aid, including the additional requirements introduced in October 2015.
These Assessment Principles set out the minimum requirements expected of regulated First Aid training providers in the UK. The course provides a convenient way to develop and demonstrate the knowledge required to undertake assessment and internal quality assurance activities within regulated First Aid qualifications.
The course is completed entirely online, allowing you to work through the content at your own pace and at a time that suits you.
Assessing
The Assessment Principles require Trainers assessing learners on regulated First Aid qualifications to hold an appropriate assessing qualification or to have completed suitable assessing CPD training.
This course is ideal for Trainers who need to develop or refresh their understanding of assessment and provides practical guidance on carrying out fair, consistent and effective assessments.
Internal Quality Assurance
The course is also suitable for those involved in monitoring First Aid Trainer/Assessors and carrying out internal quality assurance of regulated First Aid qualifications.
The Assessment Principles require those involved in quality assurance to hold an IQA qualification or to have completed suitable CPD training, in addition to holding an appropriate First Aid qualification.
This course provides the CPD training required to help individuals understand and carry out internal quality assurance procedures for regulated First Aid qualifications.
